Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the required educational qualification before the closing date of the online application.
- B.E. / B.Tech degree or equivalent in Telecommunications, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology (IT), or Instrumentation from a recognized institution
- M.Sc. in Electronics or M.Sc. in Computer Science
- Candidates possessing higher qualifications such as M.Tech in relevant disciplines are also eligible
Age Limit (As on 3 July 2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years for UR / EWS candidates
Upper Age Relaxation
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Up to 33 Years
- SC / ST: Up to 35 Years
- PwBD (UR/EWS): Up to 40 Years
- BSNL Employees (UR/EWS): Up to 35 Years
Additional combinations of age relaxation for reserved categories, PwBD candidates, and BSNL employees will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Selection Process & CBT Exam Pattern
The selection process will be conducted through a nationwide Computer-Based Test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions.
The examination will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours and will carry a maximum of 480 marks across 120 questions.

Marking Scheme
- Correct Answer: +4 Marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 Mark
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- General and OBC(CL) candidates must secure at least 40% in each section and 50% aggregate overall
- SC, ST, OBC(NCL), PwBD, and EWS candidates must secure at least 35% in each section and 45% aggregate overall
Probation & Service Bond
- Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of 2 years
- Candidates must sign a mandatory service bond to serve BSNL for a minimum of 5 years
- The service bond amount is Rs. 6 Lakhs
