Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The age cut-off date is May 1, 2026.
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
Upper Age Relaxation
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
- PwBD Candidates: 10 Years
- Widows, divorced women, and legally separated women who have not remarried:
- General/EWS: Up to 35 Years
- OBC: Up to 38 Years
- SC/ST: Up to 40 Years
- 1984 Riot Affected Persons: 5 Years
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification cut-off date is June 6, 2026.
- Candidates must possess a regular graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution approved by the Central Government.
- Candidates with postgraduate qualifications are not eligible.
- Applicants must not have completed more than five years after passing the graduation examination.
- Candidates having one year or more of job experience or apprenticeship training after qualification are not eligible.
Local Language Requirement
Applicants must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the State or Union Territory for which they are applying.
Candidates must produce proof of studying the local language in Class 8, 10, 12, or graduation level through mark sheets or certificates.
Selection Process
Merit-Based Selection
The final selection will be based on merit prepared using marks obtained in the Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) examination.
- Merit lists will be prepared state-wise, district-wise, and category-wise.
- Candidates with higher 10+2 marks will receive preference.
- In case of tie marks, older candidates will be ranked higher.
- Final selection is subject to document verification and medical fitness.

- Apprentices are not required to perform overtime work.
- Trainees will earn one Casual Leave for every completed month of training.
- A maximum of 4 casual leaves can be availed at one time.
- No additional travel, conveyance, or daily allowances will be provided.
- Apprentices will be treated as trainees and will not have any claim for permanent employment after completion of training.

- Enter the Apprenticeship/NATS enrollment ID and personal details carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and live photograph.
- Pay the application fee through the online payment gateway.
- Submit the application form and save a printout for future reference.
