1. Fishery Officer

The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates holding a valid certificate issued by a competent authority in Meghalaya. There is no age bar for regular employees of the Government of Meghalaya who entered service within the prescribed age limit.

Educational Qualification
Option A:
- Graduate in any stream
- 1-year Diploma in Sports Coaching from NSNIS or other Government of India recognized Institutes/Universities/Colleges in the concerned discipline
- Preference will be given to higher medal winners at International, National, or Zonal recognized championships
Option B:
- 10+2 passed
- Diploma in Sports Coaching from NSNIS or other Government-recognized institutes
- Applicable only to sports achievers who are medalists at International, National, or Zonal recognized championships
The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for ST/SC candidates from Meghalaya. Athletes who have participated at the National level are eligible for age relaxation up to 43 years as per the Meghalaya State Sports Policy 2019.
Important Eligibility Conditions
- Applicants must possess all required educational qualifications on or before the final application submission date.
- The qualification date will be determined based on the official declaration of results by the concerned University or Board.
- The Commission accepts only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation, SSLC, or equivalent certificate issued by an Indian University.
- Horoscopes, affidavits, service records, or Municipal birth extracts will not be accepted as proof of age.
Degree Validity Notice
Technical degrees or certificates obtained from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (India) and the Aeronautical Society of India through admissions taken after May 31, 2013 are not valid for these posts. Qualifications from the Institution of Engineers (India) obtained after May 31, 2013 remain subject to pending Government decisions.

Payment Methods

- Offline payment through e-Challan generated from the portal at any branch of the State Bank of India (SBI)
The Commission has advised candidates to prefer the e-Challan payment mode.

The Screening Test for the Junior Football Coach post will be of Class XII standard.
All registered candidates will be allowed to appear for the Screening Test. However, documents will be verified before the Personal Interview, and candidature will be cancelled if a candidate is found ineligible.
Examination Centres
The screening examinations will be conducted at the following centres:
- Shillong
- Tura
- Jowai
- Williamnagar
- Nongstoin
If the number of candidates opting for Jowai, Nongstoin, or Williamnagar is insufficient, the Commission may shift candidates to the nearest available centre. Requests for change of examination centre after submission of the application form will not be entertained.
