Educational Qualification and Eligibility Criteria

1. Stenographer Grade-III

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Technical Qualification: Diploma in English Stenography.
  • Required Speed: Minimum 80 words per minute in shorthand.
  • Typing Speed: Minimum 40 words per minute on computer.

2. Assistant Librarian

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Library Science from a recognized University.
  • Additional Requirement: Proficiency in the use of computers.

3. Lower Division Clerk-Cum-Bench Assistant (LDC)

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University.
  • Additional Requirement: Proficiency in the use of computers.

4. Record Keeper

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination from a recognized Board.

5. Process Server

  • Educational Qualification: Must have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination from a recognized Board.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years.
  • Maximum Age: 32 years as on the first day of the year in which the advertisement is made.
  • SC/ST Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years.
  • Government Servants: No age limit for candidates already serving under the State Government of Meghalaya, provided they initially entered service within the prescribed age limit.

Important: The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/SSLC certificate or an equivalent certificate recognized by the Government of Meghalaya shall be accepted as valid proof of age.
